Boulter Estate Berrimah
This project required individual gardens for 46 townhouses as well as parks and street frontage in a large estate. The developer required gardens that would compliment the modern architecture of the townhouses as well as the common areas being both functional and attractive. A unique challange of this project was that our design had to assist in the control of the flow of large amounts of rainwater due to large roof surface areas and concrete.
Quality rolled turf was used extensively in each townhouses yard to create an aspect of space. Plants were specifically planted along borders and fences to enhance to further enhance the aspect of space as well as creating natural borders and privacy between properties. Common areas where extensively turfed to allow for large amounts of space for recrecational usuage. Tree species were planted in specific areas to provide natural shade. Our design for the street frontage landscape allowed for minimumal maintenance but yet was visually pleasing using a 2–tiered foliage plan.
On completion of this project, the developer was very pleased with the final product as he understood the challenges of undertaking such a large project within budget and time frame which is what we where able to achieve for him.
